Graphic Design for Kassels’ Dance Scenes’ Speed Dating Event

Tanz*werk Kassel is hosting a speed dating event in October at Schlachthof Cultural Center. We want to create new connections between the dance scenes in Kassel, get to know each other, dance together, challenge ourselves, do something on the spot, go on “dates,” have some fun, and build networks for the future.
The event will be promoted both digitally and in print via flyers and posters.
That’s why we’re looking for you!
Tasks:
• Develop a digital flyer as well as print versions (flyers and posters)
• Create templates for social media formats
• Your own creative ideas are welcome
Requirements:
• Experience in graphic and digital design
• Proficiency in working with social media formats
• Creativity and a willingness to experiment when designing the flyer for the dance scene Kassel
Conditions:
- Fee: one-time payment of €300
- Project start: late July/ beginning of August
If we’ve caught your interest, we’d love to discuss this with you. We’ll provide you with text, images, and a general concept.
You’ll have plenty of creative freedom to bring your own artistic vision to the design. It can be kitschy, feature illustrations, and even be a little over the top!

Graphic Design for Dance Calendar

Tanz*werk Kassel is seeking a graphic designer to redesign the dance calendar. The calendar provides an overview of events in Kassel’s independent contemporary dance scene and is scheduled to be published primarily in digital format starting in September 2026.
Tasks
1. Development of a digital template

Conceptualization and design of a template for monthly publication on the
website, Instagram, and in the newsletter. It should be a clearly structured system for
presenting multiple events. -
Development of a print version (small print run), published every two months.
2. Ongoing implementation
Following the development of the template, ongoing collaboration is planned. tanz*werk will provide texts, dates, and visual material; the person hired will be responsible for integrating the content into the digital and print versions of the dance
calendar.
Requirements
• Experience in graphic and digital design
• Expertise in developing modular design systems
• Proficiency in working with social media formats
• Structured, deadline-oriented work style
• Interest in the independent contemporary dance scene
Conditions
• Project start: August 10th, 2026
• Fee:
o One-time fee for template development (1.000€)
o Compensation for ongoing implementation (190€ monthly)
• Presentation of a draft during the concept phase
• Handover of open working files
