SNEAKY LEAKS # 5 - PROGRAM
remagine
in two parts
Never tangible, always in motion, only readable and recognizable in its movement, time is the trickle, trickle, coagulant against which our vitality rubs against its finiteness.
In these two performative interventions the question is: What happens in the change between presences and absences, the role reversal of the seeing and the seen, the moving and the immobile, the impulse and the resonance space?
Frictional forces are examined and brought into contact with the places and people taking part in the performance.

Here we hear
Two bodies and one line
the music becomes visible, the gestures become audible.
It is a thunder, a creak, the raging torrent of a river, the rush of the sea.
They are casual entanglements between our bodies.
A subliminal language, a story about us.
Suddenly we become what we are doing, we transform ourselves into the sound itself.
Concept, choreography and performance: Aurora Magrí and Chiara Leonardi
Date: Sunday 5.12 at 17:00h and Monday 6.12 at 18:00h
Location: SOZO visions in motion
lost in translation
Gestures communicate. Our body communicates through gestures.
Every gesture is seen as an expression of an intention, we assume meaning - and accordingly we read or interpret gestures all the time.
In lost in translation, 3 performers meet. They try to communicate through their movements/gestures. But what do we "understand" about each other?
We read each other and yet we only read within the framework of our own experience.
Performers Aura Antikainen, Rosalie Kubny, Bettina Helmrich
Location Research Station in Lutherpark, Kassel
Time 12.11.2021 4:30 pm
late for laundry, again
"late for laundry, again" is part of an ongoing artistic research project in which Iria Arenas explores the meaning of boredom today. Together with two performers, she examines how the mind functions in this particular state. In her concept she uses performance art and choreography in the broader sense as a framework for the discussion. The audience is invited to take part in a journey into the unconscious that is accompanied by live electronic music.
Date: 5th and 6th of November, 7.30pm
Location: Schillerstraße 30, 34117 Kassel
Concept: Iria Arenas
Performance: Iria Arenas, Agnetha Jaunich, Dalia Velandia

A continuation of the SNEAKY LEAKS series - short dance pieces in public places initiated by tanz * werk Kassel
Two performers explore the narrowness of common gender stereotypes in relation to concepts of body, strength and risk. They use the movement language of the male * dominated art of locomotion parkour to put antiquated concepts of the female * body and its social function to the test.

WHERE WE MEET
I meet you in a place that is continuously changing. Memories of encounters leave traces in space and in our body memory. Expectations and boundaries are constantly negotiated, met or not, or reshaped. The ground we stand on catches us when we can't for each other. Thrown back into our own self-responsibility, we open a space in which we approach a more honest encounter, each moment anew.
